Healthy Breakfast Ideas

"Why would anybody eat anything besides breakfast food?"-Leslie Knope
I love trying new foods for breakfast, I love to mix it up and make new recipes! Today I'm sharing some unique and tasty breakfast ideas that I love!

1. Chia pudding
Chia pudding is super easy, you only need three ingredients!
-a type of milk (I use almond milk)
-chia seeds
-honey
For every two tablespoons of chia seeds, mix it with 1/2 cup of almond milk. Add the chia seeds and almond milk into a bowl and stir. Then, add a little bit of honey and stir some more. Let it sit for 1 minute then stir one last time and throw it in the fridge. Wait 4 hours or prepare it the night before and eat it in the morning. In the morning, I add fruit and sometimes almond butter. Here is some good topping ideas:
-Chopped apples
-Berries
-Banana
-Cinnamon
-Mixed nuts
-Raisins

2. Toast
On vacation, I ate lots of toast since it was super easy to make. Here are two toast ideas that I loved!
1) Avocado Toast
Simply buy some pre-made guacamole and spread it on a piece of toast. Done.
2) Banana Crunch Toast
Spread almond butter on the toast then chop a banana and put the slices on the almond butter. Then, drizzle some honey over it and sprinkle some chia seeds and cinnamon on top.

3. Oatmeal
I love adding a variety of toppings to my oatmeal, here are some examples!
-Dried cranberries
-Raisins
-Sliced almonds
-Cinnamon
-Fresh fruit
-Honey
-Chia seeds

4. Banana split
This. Is. So. Good. Definitely give this recipe a shot!
Slice a banana so you have two long pieces. Then, position the banana pieces next to each other and put some plain Greek yogurt in the middle of them. Then, sprinkle it with honey, chia seeds, cinnamon, and/or granola.

5. Pancakes
Here's a healthy recipe for pancakes! This recipe came from @meowmeix on Instagram.
1 ripe banana, 4 large eggs, 1/8-1/4 cup of water, 1/3 cup of coconut flour, 1/2 tsp baking soda. Mash up the banana and add the ingredients to a bowl. Pour 1/4 cup of the batter onto the pan and cook it then repeat.

5. Protein shake
You need 1 scoop of protein powder, 1 handful of spinach, 1-2 servings of your choice of fruit (I normally go with bananas, strawberries, or blueberries), 1/4 cup of almond milk or water, and ice. Put all of this in a blender and enjoy!

Give these recipes a shot and let me know what you think!
Love,
Gabby
