Floatation Therapy

My boyfriend, his sister, and I tried floatation therapy. I had never heard of it before this experience and thought it was very interesting! Today I'm explaining what floatation therapy is and my experience with it.
The purpose of floatation therapy is to help people relax, meditate, and relieve muscle soreness. The floatation sauna where we went to was very calming and relaxing. They had herbal tea, showers, cabins for floatation therapy, etc. Floatation therapy has been used to help people with PTSD, depression, chronic illnesses, arthritis, hormone imbalances, anxiety, addiction, etc. Click here to learn more benefits!
Each person had their own cabin. There is a small shower and the pod where you would climb inside to meditate in each cabin. The staff requested that we would shower for 5 minutes to remove any oils or perfumes off of our bodies before getting into the pod. The pod was about 4 feet wide and 7 feet long.
When you get in the pod, it is completely dark. They play 10 minutes of music at the beginning then it goes silent until your session is over. The water is room temperature and contains epsom salt. I did not feel compacted or claustrophobic, it was very relaxing! The water was only 11 inches deep and because of the salt in the water, it is very easy to float in the water. I recommend cradling your head with your hands while you float, it will release pain in your back and neck! They will fine you if you go to the bathroom while in the pod so I'd recommend going to the bathroom before starting the session.
