Healthy Crispy Chicken Nuggets

I have been trying air fryer recipes all week and this one is definitely one of my favorites! These chicken nuggets are grain and gluten-free and are delicious!! My little brother, the pickiest eater I know, tried them and wanted a dozen more. The nuggets are crispy, flavorful, and contain no harmful ingredients! I made the chicken nuggets using the air fryer and the oven and both ways worked great!

Ingredients:
  • 4 chicken breasts (each breast should be around 4 oz)
  • 1 cup of almond flour
  • 1/2 cup of parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • salt 
  • pepper
  • 1 egg

AIR FRYER INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Cut up the chicken into the size of nuggets, sprinkle salt and pepper over the chicken and set it aside
  2. Mix the egg in a dish, make sure the dish is big enough to dip the chicken nuggets in
  3. In another dish, combine the almond flour, parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Stir and mix the dry ingredients.
  4. Pick up the piece of chicken with a fork and dip it into the dish with the beaten egg. Then, dip it into the dry ingredient dish.
  5. Spray some cooking oil in the air fryer (I used an olive oil spray)
  6. Set the piece of chicken in the air fryer and do this for each piece of chicken.
  7. Air fry the chicken for 12 minutes at 400 degrees. After the chicken has cooked for 6 minutes, shake the air fryer basket to make sure the chicken cooks all the way through then continue to cook it for 6 more minutes
  8. Enjoy!
OVEN INSTRUCTIONS:

  7. Bake the chicken for 20 minutes at 400 degrees in the oven. 
  8. Enjoy!
