Healthy Crispy Chicken Nuggets
I have been trying air fryer recipes all week and this one is definitely one of my favorites! These chicken nuggets are grain and gluten-free and are delicious!! My little brother, the pickiest eater I know, tried them and wanted a dozen more. The nuggets are crispy, flavorful, and contain no harmful ingredients! I made the chicken nuggets using the air fryer and the oven and both ways worked great!
Ingredients:
- 4 chicken breasts (each breast should be around 4 oz)
- 1 cup of almond flour
- 1/2 cup of parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- salt
- pepper
- 1 egg
AIR FRYER INSTRUCTIONS:
- Cut up the chicken into the size of nuggets, sprinkle salt and pepper over the chicken and set it aside
- Mix the egg in a dish, make sure the dish is big enough to dip the chicken nuggets in
- In another dish, combine the almond flour, parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Stir and mix the dry ingredients.
- Pick up the piece of chicken with a fork and dip it into the dish with the beaten egg. Then, dip it into the dry ingredient dish.
- Spray some cooking oil in the air fryer (I used an olive oil spray)
- Set the piece of chicken in the air fryer and do this for each piece of chicken.
- Air fry the chicken for 12 minutes at 400 degrees. After the chicken has cooked for 6 minutes, shake the air fryer basket to make sure the chicken cooks all the way through then continue to cook it for 6 more minutes
- Enjoy!
OVEN INSTRUCTIONS:
